As a kid I inherited my grandma’s sewing machine. When I moved out years later, it got sent to the charity shop by accident. I’ve been using sewing machines recently at Art Matters and remembered how to thread it up and use basic stitches (just running stitch and zigzag stitch). I came home on Friday to discover a new sewing machine, a joint early birthday present from James and my family. I’d been weedling for it in advance so I could get making stuff for the craft fairs in June and July. This is what came out!
Phone covers are just about the easiest thing I could think of to make. I had lots of small scraps of fabric left over from cushion-making, so for each cover I cut two rectangles and stitched them together. They fit iphones and HTC Wildfires, I’ll be charging £3 each or £5 for two.
