Badger door stop

My good friends Andy and Charlotte have just moved in together, (above a wool shop – lucky things!) and asked me to make them a badger door stop. I began by drawing a rough sketch of what I wanted him to look like, and my friend Natasha helped me think through the shapes involved. Then I drew up the pattern and started making.

He’s turned out to be baby badger I think, more than a ferocious adult badger. I used glass pebbles sewn into a little bag to weight him and also added some lavender inside. He was great fun to make.
